i hate pedestrians. usually (as robin astutely observed), i rant a lot about the stupid drivers i see in and around toronto, but what really raises my ire are the people who walk. it amazes me how people survive doing the things they do. yesterday, the light turned green, and 2 people were crossing (taking a nice leisurely fucking walk, too), oblivious to the fact that the cars had the green light. this delay was a few precious seconds of my life i'll never get back. i wish i was the first one in line so that i could honk their fucking brains out till they started running to the other side of the street, afraid that maybe i'd let my foot off the brakes :)
i'd have to say the funniest pedestrian i ever saw came about a week ago. i was driving along, and saw this woman standing on the road, halfway across, waiting for a break in the cars so she could finish jaywalking. so there were a bunch of cars coming and she was stuck waiting. apparently, she was such a moron that she didn't notice that she was about 10 feet away from a crosswalk...had she taken a few steps to her left, she could have pressed a button and had traffic stop for her to cross.
i think i'm sick of ranting about drivers and cars. i've pretty much used up all of my comments about them. so from now on, unless it's something so incredibly weird or annoying, i'm going to move on to other things that piss me off. and i'm sure i won't have trouble, considering the state of the world these days. mideast, US, g8, rich people, koreans (i'm not racist, but since the world cup started, these people have been so obnoxious!)...the list goes on forever. maybe i'm like one of those cops - "i wish i could turn in this sarcastic attitude of mine and retire, but there are just so many punks out there and i can't turn my back on my duties" hehe.
