could it be the onset of old age? there hasn't been much to piss me off lately...sure, there have been the usual stupid drivers, people in malls, and basically people being annoying everywhere i go, but i've begun to let more of it go. then again, maybe it's just been a good couple of weeks!

june didn't start out very promising. the ride for heart was a good early start, but it seemed like things were going to peak on june 2nd. luckily, things have taken a good turn. first, there was my car, which was starting to look like it was not going to be built until the next model year. fortunately, i was able to pick up a nice one off the lot, even though i sacrificed the colour i wanted and the sunroof, as well as some extra dollars because this one turned out to be an all-wheel drive model (but in the end, i'm better off with that, anyway). heh, i guess those bastards at general motors have a pretty nice scam going: hype up the new cars, give the buyers a 5 or so month wait for their factory orders, and bait the ones who give up waiting into buying the more expensive model, which just so happens to be in stock! ah well, at least i have my own wheels now, and the car *is* pretty sweet.

and then there's my girlfriend...what can be said bad about her? she's wonderful, and the best thing that ever happened to me. and to prove i'm not just being sentimental and mushy, she's a pretty cool chick, too! hehe

so that's about it for now. but first, i'd like to introduce a new segment of my blog: stupid person of the day. though i likely won't be doing updates every day, on every update, i'll try to tell a quick story about the most spectacularly stupid person i saw most recently. my first winner is this knob: i was driving home from work yesterday when i saw him. he was one of those guys who thinks he can trick people into thinking he's NOT driving a volkswagon golf by removing all decals and emblems, and painting the car flat white. it looked really ridiculous, actually. it's actually not much of a story, but it amused me. and if it doesn't amuse you...well, i don't give a flying fuck :)
