it didn't take me very long to get too lazy to update my blog, but maybe i'll make a better effort of it now.

i went on the ride for heart today. it's amazing how strange it was to go from riding with 16,000 (approx?) other riders on the parkway to getting back into car traffic afterward. cyclists, for the most part, are so much more respectful of the other people on the road, and there's a sense of co-operation, not competition for getting to the destination faster. of course, there are some stupid cyclists, but generally they're a small minority.

the thing that really pisses me off now is that this year is likely the last ride on the dvp. some stupid people have been complaining about the inconvenience caused by the highway closure. c'mon fucknuts, it's a SUNDAY morning! SLEEP IN, and you won't be inconvenienced! besides, it's for a great cause and being on the highway is unbeatable exposure for the event, and a major draw for the cyclists...i, for one, will likely not participate next year if the event is at the zoo or something...what kind of incentive do i have if it's just biking someplace i can go bike myself any time i want? i wanna bike on the highway!

i'm tired now...i need more sleep...long week coming up...updates to come, maybe!
