i'm sitting here at work, and i'm doing nothing, as usual. i'm really too lazy at the moment to go into an in-depth analysis of what i do (or don't do, which might be a better description), but that'll come eventually. hopefully i'll get some additional work in the next little while. i've sent in my resume to someone who seemed interested in my services, and i'll hopefully get a couple of interviews soon. unfortunately, i don't see myself quitting this job any time soon. so if i do get another job, i might have to work both until my contract is up here (or until the company goes out of business...which wouldn't be a good thing, but at least it would set me free). i also have my freelance work, which will keep me going for a few months.

that's it for now. i can't write while listening to the radio, and my eyes are hurting anyway, so i'm gonna take a nap :)

i'm feeling a little lazy, so i'm not sure how long this post will be. it's been a while since my last post, but not because there hasn't been anything to write about...quite the contrary, i've often felt like bitching about the state of the world, but just haven't been by the computer when the mood hit me, and maybe just didn't feel like writing when i was by the computer.

so what's new? let's see...i hate my job! if anyone is looking for a good television person, lemme know, cuz i'm looking for better work than i'm doing right now. i'm sure a lot of people can relate to this old story: the boss is not very bright, and has higher expectations than are reasonable in a particular environment.

what else? well, my girlfriend just lost her job in a case of what appears to be "constructed dismissal". it really sucks, but she's a great girl, so i can't think of anyone who wouldn't want to hire her; i just hope her qualifications can land her something that's worthy of her time. otherwise, maybe she'll have to go back to school and further her education a bit, but there's nothing wrong with that anyway.

and what the hell is up with the united states? i've been predicting its demise for a while, and hopefully my dreams will come true. but it won't even take terrorists to do it; the country, under the wonderful leadership of dubya, is starting to implode from its own corruption and greed. unfortunately, i wouldn't be surprised if such unholy activities drift north of the border.

and speaking of holiness, the pope is coming to toronto. yay. i was driving in to work this morning, and just about every street on my way to work has a sign saying it'll be closed during the pope's visit. great. as it happens, i work across the street from where the big youth day festivities will be. though i shouldn't complain too much - it'll get me out of the doldrums of another friday at work! good thing i don't work on the weekends, though maybe there'd be some sexy catholic schoolgirls around! hehe :)

what else...out of the corner of my eye, i see something about "blogger pro" which i will check out in a few moments. alas, from the sound of it, it looks like blogger is going the way of hotmail, imdb, and lots of other websites that now have two-tiered service. not that that is such a horrible thing, i suppose...if you want the extra features, it's fair to pay for them. i, for one, will not likely be paying for the pro version of blogger, because, as thankful as i am for the people at blogger to let me rant my anti-everything, i don't quite use it, or do enough with it, to pay for this privilege.

that's it for now. and in the words of "total bastard airlines" (from an SNL sketch which i would love to bring to fruition in reality, though i think air canada has already begun the process of transforming itself to that), BUH-BYE.
