hi. i've been sick the past couple of days, so i haven't gotten around to doing anything interesting. i did watch citizen kane the other day. incredible flick. haven't watched the commentaries yet, but i'm sure they're very insightful.

you know, there's a lot of crap on tv. i know people say that all the time, but it seems to get truer every day. i'm sitting here, being bored out of my mind...debating whether or not i should even bother posting this useless piece of crap. i haven't said anything of any value yet. i guess i'm just too tired to be, um...smart.

update #1: let's see how long i last updating this blogger thing.

i've been waiting for this for a while now, and fox has finally announced the release date of "moulin rouge" on dvd. december 18th is the day, and for those of you who haven't seen this brilliant film, do yourselves a favour and at least give it a shot. admittedly, it's not for everyone, but if you open your mind to it, you might really enjoy it. as well, tomorrow is the release date of the citizen kane special edition. i'll be buying it, and hopefully will post a review soon.

in other news...after two days, i've given up on windows xp for now. maybe it just needs a service pack to really be effective. but besides suspect stability, i've got some peeves about some of the "enhancement" in the latest outing from microsoft. why they couldn't have trimmed some of the fat when building on the already bloated win2k is beyond me. and some of the "improvements" have seen the elimination of some very useful features, with more inconvenient replacements.

that's about it for now...i'll try to make it more interesting next time.
